The Principal and Vice-Chancellor of City of Glasgow College in the UK visit our スポーツくじ

 2025Years8Mon26City of スポーツくじ College in the UKPaul Little (Paul Little, President andCarla GethinVice President for External Collaboration, Carla Gesin, visited the スポーツくじ's Etchujima Campus and met with President Iseki Toshio, Executive Vice President Minami Kiyokazu (Education, Student Support, and Ship Operation Management), Dean of the Faculty of Marine Engineering Kubo Nobuaki, Head of the Onboard Training Department Hatzu Hisa Tatsuya, and Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Marine Science and Technology Shimizu Etsuro, who welcomed the delegation.

 At the beginning of the meeting, President Iseki welcomed the delegation and expressed his hope for an information exchange during the スポーツくじ. President Little explained that the purpose of the スポーツくじ was to explore future synergies between the two universities in areas such as shipbuilding, port security, port infrastructure, simulation technology, virtual reality, seafarer training, and cutting-edge fields of simulation technology.

 Following this, President Iseki gave an overview of the スポーツくじ, Executive Director Minami introduced the スポーツくじ's seafarer education, and Vice Dean Shimizu gave a presentation on autonomous ships, which led to a lively exchange of opinions. President Little explained that the スポーツくじ is working on building a training environment using simulation technology for seafarer education.

 After the meeting, President Little and his delegation toured the Meiji Maru, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property completed in スポーツくじ, UK in 1874, and the adjacent Meiji Maru Memorial Museum.

 Through this visit, the two universities shared information on seafarer education and research, and hoped for future collaboration. Our スポーツくじ will continue to promote cooperation with City of Glasgow College.
